Business Travel Consultant – Sabre

Full Time

If you’re an experienced Business Travel Consultant who loves solving complex travel requests, building lasting client relationships and delivering exceptional service, this could be your perfect next step!

Business Travel Consultant role with Sabre
Paying up to £35k this is a great Business Travel Consultant role!

We’re partnering with one of the most up and coming names in the business travel sector. Whilst they do have ambitious plans for continued growth, this is a company that still feels like you’re working for people, rather than simply a corporation.

You’ll have the support of experienced colleagues, the freedom to use your initiative and the opportunity to genuinely influence the service you provide to your clients.

They’re looking for a Business Travel Consultant who embraces change, is comfortable working in an environment where processes and procedures are evolving all the time and who loves the idea of being somewhere they can progress from within.

The role itself:

Working with a varied portfolio of corporate clients, you’ll manage travel arrangements from enquiry through to ticketing and aftercare, ensuring every booking is handled accurately and with exceptional attention to detail.

Using native Sabre, you’ll take ownership of the entire booking process while delivering a seamless customer experience.

What your day will look like:

  • Manage worldwide business travel bookings from enquiry through to completion on mixed accounts.
  • Book flights, hotels, rail, car hire and additional travel services.
  • Handle amendments, cancellations and complex itinerary changes.
  • Provide proactive travel solutions and alternative options when required.
  • Issue tickets and complete all reservations using native Sabre.
  • Ensure bookings comply with client travel policies and service standards.
  • Build trusted relationships with corporate clients and suppliers.
  • Resolve travel issues quickly, professionally and confidently.
  • Maintain accurate PNR’s, traveller profiles and other documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding customer service.

What we’re looking for:

This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, is naturally curious and doesn’t wait to be told what to do. You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and finding solutions, even when plans change at the last minute.

What you’ll need to apply:

  • Recent experience as a Business Travel Consultant.
  • Native Sabre experience within the last two years(applications without recent Sabre experience won’t be considered on this occasion we’re afraid).
  • Experience managing bookings from start to finish.
  • Strong worldwide fares and ticketing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work confidently from home but also be able to access one of their office locations on average twice a month.

You’ll stand out if you are:

  • Adaptable and comfortable working through change.
  • Proactive and happy to take ownership.
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Creative when solving complex travel challenges.
  • Patient, resilient and positive.
  • A team player who enjoys supporting colleagues.

Why choose this Business Travel Consultant role over another?

This company understand that their people work best given the opportunity to have some flexibility in their day.

The standard office hours are 9am – 5:30pm but there can be some discussion on this if you’d prefer to start and finish earlier/later, providing the full time hours requirements are met.

This isn’t a call centre environment so if you need to schedule your day around school pick ups etc, they’re happy to chat about it.

Company benefits- the important stuff!

  • Home-based role with approximately 2x a month in an office in London, Hampshire or Glasgow (travel costs covered).
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
  • Annual bonus scheme linked to company performance and individual contribution.
  • 5% employer pension contribution.
  • Death in Service cover (2 x salary).
  • Perkbox employee benefits.
  • Flexible working culture.
  • Join a growing organisation where your ideas, initiative and contribution are genuinely valued.
